Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC)
Manama - BNA

Finance Minister and the Minister in Charge of Oil and Gas Affairs Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received here today the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC)'s Managing Director Yussif bin Abdulrahman Al-Zamil, who was accompanied by GPIC President Abdulrahman Jawahery.
The Minister was updated on GPIC's work flow and productive over the past year, as well as future plans.
He lauded the company's plans and programmes to maintain its competitive potentials amid the rapid changes the petrochemical industry is going through.
He also commended the efforts of GPIC's Board of Directors and executive administration in developing the company's work, which will reflect positively on the oil and gas sector, in particular, and the economies of the member states, in general.
Al-Zamil expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to Shaikh Ahmed for his constant support to the company, in line with the government's constant keenness to provide a perfect environment for investment, which, he said, has attracted many mega companies to contribute to the kingdom's pioneering development projects.
Dr. Jawahery said that GPIC reflects the success of the kingdom's policies to diversify the sources of revenue, pledging that it will continue to play an effective role in achieving the Economic Vision of Bahrain, 2030.
It is to be noted that GPIC was awarded the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)'s Health and Safety Shield for the 14th time in a row, and obtained the ISO 22301 Certificate.
Secretary-General of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) Dr. Ahmed Ali Al-Sharyan attended.
