A member of the Oil and Energy Committee, MP Bahaa Aldin said exporting oil through Turkish territory by the Kurdistan Regional Government is a clear violation of the constitution .He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "making oil agreements between the Kurdistan region and foreign companies, away from the central government, is considered a violation to the Iraqi constitution , stressing that " a decisive stand must be taken for the illegal actions of the territory that far from the Iraqi constitution ."He added that " some members of the Oil and Energy Committee from the Kurdistan Alliance support the Kurdistan region to export oil to Turkey , stressing that the National Alliance reject the actions of the Kurdistan region ."Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has told the Kurdistan region to reduce the funding provided by the government in Baghdad to the region , if the region sought to export oil to Turkey .Maliki said in a statement , " never allow the export of Iraqi oil only through the Ministry of Oil and SOMO and this is a violation of the constitution and we will not allow that not for the region nor the Turkish government ," calling on Turkey not to interfere in the internal affairs of Iraq .He added : "We have our actions that we take .. oil is for Iraq and its people , and the region takes 17% of Iraq's oil , and it has to deliver the region's oil to the state budget .. and Turkey should not interfere in an issue of Iraqi sovereignty , which is the national wealth ."The Iraqi authorities summoned on last Sunday the Turkish charge d'affaires on the issue of exporting oil from the Kurdistan region to Europe via Turkish territory without permission from the Iraqi authorities , condemning what it considered " a violation " of the Iraqi Constitution .
