Russian oil and gas companies look to expand international operations
Abu Dhabi - WAM

More than thirty two of Russia’s major oil and gas companies will be exhibiting at this year's ADIPEC exhibition, currently running in Abu Dhabi.

The companies will be hosted at a Russian pavilion covering almost 600 square meters, almost six times the size of last year’s 105 square meter pavilion, and include manufacturers, suppliers and producers as well as exploration companies already present in the market.

Lukoil and Gazprom, two of Russia’s biggest oil and gas companies have each confirmed substantial exhibition areas, aiming to gain more visibility and reach through their participation.

"Every year, companies gather at ADIPEC to open up to global audiences and engage in informed discussions with potential partners. This event is an excellent opportunity to meet with the leaders of the energy sector," Roman Gavrilin, Deputy Director of Russian Promotion Group, the ADIPEC agent for Russia, said.

Gavrilin also expressed his appreciation for the Russian Export Centre and their efforts in giving Russian exporters a better chance to engage in the global market with stronger tools and a deeper understanding for the market needs and priorities.

Industry experts and key government officials from across Russia will be present at the event, amongst them the Deputy Minister of Energy, the Head of Oil and Gas Department in the Ministry of Industry, the Russian ambassador to UAE and the Head of the Russian Trade Representation office in Abu Dhabi.

"Russian companies in the region have become highly qualified in the provision of energy services. So now we are in the best place to diversify our fields of contribution and leverage on our abilities in science and technology," said Ara Melikyan, the Head of Russian Trade Representation office talking about the opportunities for growth awaiting Russian businesses. "Russian manufacturers of equipment and technology have always been able to satisfy their customers and meet their strictest and highest standards, and we are looking forward to seeing this happening on a larger, global scale," he said.

Being held under the theme, ‘Forging Ties, Driving Growth’, ADIPEC 2017 is expected to host more than 10,000 delegates, 2,200 exhibiting companies, 900 speakers, and 100,000 visitors from 135 countries. From the viewpoint of the Russian Promotion Group, ADIPEC is the main platform to introduce Russian products to the world, as Gavrilin put it, "We are keen on increasing Russian participation in ADIPEC because we see the valuable solutions and networking opportunities it presents."
