GPS
Riyadh - XINHUA

Saudi Arabia will allocate routes for gas transporting trucks away from cities and vital establishments, local newspaper Al Eqtisadiya reported Wednesday.
The trucks will be equipped with GPSs for companies to track their movements and ensure that they stick to the decided routes to avoid explosion mishaps, Brigadier Abdullah Al Shighaithri from the Saudi Civil Defence told the newspaper.
He said that among safety measures is ensuring that the drivers of those trucks should have international certificates on transporting dangerous materials.
Several cases occurred because of such trucks, the worst was reported in 2012, in which 23 people were killed and 110 were injured in Riyadh.
The explosion occurred when the Asian driver who sustained non-life threatening injuries hit a bridge on top of a road. The accident damaged several vehicles and nearby houses.
