Upon the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, for providing assistance to the brotherly people of Egypt, the third and fourth shipments of Qatari Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) was loaded at Ras Laffan port, to alleviate the energy crisis Egypt has been facing during the summer season, an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Thursday. The LNG carrier carrying the third shipment has already left Ras Laffan port early today and the LNG carrier laden with the fourth shipment is expected to leave the port later on Thursday evening, the source said in a statement carried by Qatar News Agency (QNA). The parties concerned are finalizing the remaining procedures to secure the loading of the fifth and last shipment which is supposed to be loaded next September. Last June, Qatar agreed to donate five LNG shipments to the Arab Republic of Egypt to be supplied to the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation.
