Al Ihsan Charity Association, in cooperation with the Emirates Association of the Visually Impaired and Noor Dubai, organised a walk at Mirdif City Centre to mark World White Cane Day which falls on October 15.
More than 50 visually impaired children and more than 1,000 community member participated in the walk.
Dr Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Ali Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of Al Ihsan Charity, said that the walk was organised in solidarity with the visually impaired people and for the community members to realise the importance of the gift of sight.
Adel Al Zumer, chairman, Emirates Association of the Visually Impaired, said that the visually impaired encourage and supports such events that provide an incentive for success. More than 50 visually impaired people took part in the march.
