Al Azhar has expressed worries over the the situation in the historic city of Tadmur aka Palmyra in Syria which the terrorist Daesh organization has controlled.

Al Azhar said in a statement on Thursday that the international community needs to immediately interfere before they destroy the historic city.

They will follow suit with what they have done before in other archaeological sites, the statement warned.

They will loot and destroy the archaeological sites, the statement went on to say.
