Araiji calls for measures to stop culture destruction by Daesh

Minister of Culture, Raymond Araiji, on Thursday urged the international community to immediately interfere to stand in the face of the intentional destruction of the cultural legacy by Daesh, especially in light if the group's fresh operation in Syria.
"The Ministry of Culture in Lebanon sternly condemned this barbaric crime against history and culture," he said in a statement.
"The Ministry voices concerns and fears over the fate of different cultures in Daesh-dominated regions," he added.
