The Syndicate of Al Ashraf (descendants of the Prophet Muhammad of Islam and his immediate family) stressed on the unity of the religious institutions in Egypt under the umbrella Al Azhar which is a great Islamic edifice for moderation.

In statements on Monday, the Head of the Syndicate Mahmoud el Sherif said that the syndicate supports the statement of the Awqaf (Religious Endowments) scholars and the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in response to some remarks which accused some figures of blasphemy.

He also underlined the syndicate's support for the political leadership in fighting terrorism and to the army as well as the police personnel in defending homeland and protecting its stability.
