Awqaf minister condemns Iran attack on al-Azhar
Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa

Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa has condemned the Iranian attack on Al Azhar Sheikhdom, warning that such attack deepens the sectarian divide.
Along with top officials at the ministry, Gomaa said the Iranian expansion in the Arab world is seriously faced by Al Azhar, noting no mosques in Egypt will be allowed to adopt Shiite thoughts.
