Twenty-one out of twenty-four contestants have already satisfied the first condition of the Bahrain (24-Hours) Novelists Literary Award and entered the appraisal stage after writing more than sixty pages each over the span of two days, at the rate of 12 hours per day. The contestants participated yesterday in the contest organized by Al-Watan newspaper under the auspices of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa the First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youths and Sports (SCYS), after a long marathon at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC). A number of 16 young women and 9 young men aged between 18 and 30 although exhausted have finished writing of 1523 pages of up to a quarter of a million words , confirming that the idea embodies challenge and excitement in all connotation thereof. Fatima Talal who ranked at the top of the list wrote 100 pages. Abeer Miftah who came at the end of the list wrote 28 pages.
