Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received Works Minister Esam Khalaf and discussed with him the efforts made by the Cities Development and Beautification Committee. She thanked the Works Ministry and members of the committee for their efforts to beautify Bahrain, stressing that the beauty of the kingdom’s culture stems from the lovely cities and roads. On his part, the Works Minister hailed outstanding cooperation with the Culture Ministry, emphasising that the Cities Development and Beautification Committee aims to boost Bahrain’s image inside and abroad. He expressed hope that joint cooperation will yield more beautification projects in the Future. It is to note that the committee was set up as per resolution number 3 for 2011 which was issued by Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. It convened for the first time in April 2011.
