Culture has always been a "main bridge linking the Egyptians and Sudanese,” Egypt's Culture Minister Helmy el Namnam said on Monday.
Namnam made the remarks during a reception held by Egypt’s ambassador to Sudan ahead of the minister’s participation in the Khartoum International Book Fair.
He called for not giving the chance to powers seeking to undermine the historical relations between the two countries.
Namnam is scheduled to deliver a speech at the opening session of the fair on Tuesday.
During his several days’ visit, he will also meet with a number of Sudanese officials to discuss means of boosting cultural relations between the two countries.
