As part of its 19th Cultural Season, Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah (DAI) hosted Tuesday evening a symposium on the DAI Library's collections of rare books in various fields. The Library, founded in 1983 at the Amricani Cultural Centre, houses over 10,000 books in both Arabic and English, Secretary of the Library Mohammad Al-Surouri said in his speech to the gathering. "Through the Library, the DAI works to promote reading and culture particularly in the areas of Islamic heritage and humanities," he said. He added that the Library includes various rare Islamic publications and books dating from the second Hijri century (the seventh Gregorian century).
