Downtown Cairo has over 150 historic buildings

Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Antiquities Ministry's Central Administration of Modern Era Antiquities, said the area of Downtown Cairo has over 150 historic buildings.
"The Attaba district alone has 20 unique buildings," he said.
Abbas hailed a decision issued by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to develop Downtown Cairo.
The government is reviving Downtown Cairo after transferring street vendors to a new location, he said.
