El-Arish museum not affected by 2 mortar blasts

An Antiquities Ministry official said on Tuesday that el-Arish museum was not affected by the explosion which occurred near the North Sinai province's administration building.
"The museum is totally safe and sound," the ministry's head of the museum sector Ahmed Sharaf said, adding that one shell hit a heritage museum affiliated to an NGO in the province.
Earlier in the day, a powerful explosion took place near North Sinai Province's premises in el-Arish.
No casualties were reported.
