Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met with Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el Damaty Thursday.
During the meeting, el Damaty explained the steps taken in the projects implemented by his ministry to develop museums and archaeological sites in all governorates.
For his part, Mahlab underlined that the cabinet saves no efforts to preserve the Egyptian heritage.
The antiquities minister discussed with the premier number of proposals including a suggestion to develop the surrounding area of the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir as part of the "Reviving Egyptian Museum Initiative" which aims at upgrading the museum.
The meeting tackled also developing Pharonic museums in Ismalia, Port Said and Minya as well as the Greek and Roman ones in Alexandria besides Museum of Islamic Art in Cairo.
