An evening to commemorate the first anniversary of Ibrahim Aslan's death will be held at Cairo Atelier on Tuesday at 7pm Cairo Atelier will on Tuesday host an evening marking the one-year anniversary of the death of Ibrahim Aslan. A number of the late writer’s friends and fans will talk about Aslan and his work. Ibrahim Aslan died aged 77 on 8 January 2012 after taking medicine for a heavy cold which damaged his already weakened heart. Aslan is considered one of the best writers of the 1960s generation. He was best known for his novels Bohayrat Al-Massa (The Night’s Lake) and Malek Alhazaeen (Sad Malek), which was made into the famous movie KitKat, a jewel of Egyptian cinema in the 1990s.
