Restoration works of al-Zahir Baybars mosque to be resumed

The Standing Committee of the Islamic and Coptic Antiquities on Sunday decided to resume restoration works of Al-Zahir Baybars mosque.
The restoration work kicked off in 2007 but stumbled due technical issues in 2011, said the Committee's head Mostafa Ameen.
The restoration works cost EGP 88 million, an official said.
