The UAE Cultural Days festivities opened earlier this week in the Belarusian capital, Minsk.
In a speech at the opening ceremony, Belarusian Culture Minister, Yuri Bondar, said the event was arranged as part of the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of Belarus-UAE relations.
In turn, as he welcomed guests of the opening ceremony, the UAE Ambassador to Belarus, Ahmed Mohammed Al Tenaiji, expressed confidence that the organisation of the Culture Days event reaffirms the strong interest of the UAE and Belarus in each other, their partnership, and the sincere friendship between the two nations. "The UAE has a rich and versatile historical legacy. Guests will be able to become familiar with it over the next few days," he said.
The UAE Culture Days opening ceremony took place at the Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery and a demonstration of UAE national heritage was arranged as part of the programme.
