Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received Tuesday French Envoy for Middle East peace process Pierre Vimont at the headquarter of the presidency.
During the meeting, the French envoy reviewed the French initiative to hold an international conference on the peace process and forming an international support group.
For his part, Abbas hailed France's key role in pushing forward the peace process through its latest proposals.
He expressed Palestinian side's readiness to fully cooperate with France on this score.
He further noted that Palestine is rallying international parties to hold the conference with a view to resolving the conflict in accordance with the Arab peace initiative.
The meeting was attended by French Consul General Herve Magro as well as PLO Secretary General Saeb Erekat.
