Abbas, Japanese MP review peace process developments

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met in Ramallah with Kenya Akiba, director of the standing committee on foreign affairs at the Japanese House of Representatives.
During the meeting, Abbas briefed Akiba on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and the situation othe peace process.
Abbas reiterated the Palestinian side's commitment to achieving just and permanent peace based on decisions of the international legitimacy to end the occupation and establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital based on 1967 borders.
