China, Russia to enhance cooperation

Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi met here Friday with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. 
Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi said both countries have agreed to enhance cooperation, especially in northeast China and Russia's far east region, and will enhance media people exchange. Wang said China highly looks forward to Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit this year. 
"We have fully mapped out the details of Russian President Putin's visit to China this year. This is the most important political agenda for China-Russia relations in the first half of this year. We have high expectations and will pay great attention to this visit," Wang said. 
"We will stimulate multifaceted practical cooperation in every possible way within the framework of national development strategy and the pairing of the Silk Road to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU )," Wang Yi stressed.
