Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Thursday arrived in Rome coming from Milan as part of a three-day official visit to Italy at an invitation of his Italian counterpart Matteo Renzi.
Mahlab is accompanied with Minister of Trade and Industry Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour and Egypt's ambassador to Italy.
In Rome, Mahlab will meet his Italian counterpart Matteo Renzi and a number of Italian ministers and officials, said spokesman for the cabinet Hossam Al-Qaweesh.
A number of deals will be signed during the visit in the field of petroleum, energy and electricity.
Mahlab underlined the strength of relations between Egypt and Italy in various political, economic, commercial and cultural fields, Qaweesh said.
He stressed the importance of the technical education, training and cooperation in this field with the Italian side.
he called for activating tourist movement between both sides and working on increasing the number of Italian tourists coming to Egypt.
"Egypt is safe and stable," Mahlab stressed during meetings with Italian officials.
Egypt's stability will serve the stability in the region and worldwide, Mahlab said.
He stressed that terrorism has nothing to do with any religion or particular region.
