Meetings of the Egyptian-Saudi Coordination Council on the ministerial level kicked off in Riyadh Monday.
Egypt's International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr and Saudi State Minister member of the Cabinet Essam bin Saeed co-chair the meetings.
The Egyptian delegation participating in the meetings includes the ministers of housing, education, culture, transport, agriculture, manpower, electricity and the head of the Egyptian Radio and Television Union.
The closing meeting will be held on Tuesday to approve agreements reached by Egyptian and Saudi ministers during their bilateral meeting.
The preparatory meetings of the council kicked off on Sunday at the senior officials' level.
Egypt and Saudi Arabia agreed on November 11 to establish a coordination council tasked with implementing the "Cairo Declaration," which outlines facets of cooperation between the two states.
The announcement followed bilateral talks between Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the sidelines of the fourth Summit of Arab-South American countries.
The agreement established the Egyptian-Saudi Coordination Council to oversee the implementation of protocols and memorandums of understandings between both countries.
