The Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa met in Washington the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Paul Ryan as part of his current official visit to the United States of America.
Shaikh Khalid commended the progress of the historical ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America in all fields and stressed the shared keenness to further harness them and cement the strategic partnership at all levels.
He further underlined that the reciprocal senior officials’ visits would deepen cooperation, optimize the common interests, and strengthen coordination on various issues at all international fora.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs valued the role of the United States in strengthening international peace and security and its continuous consultation and cooperation with the countries of the region to ensure stability, peace, and development for its people.
The House Speaker Paul Ryan welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed his pride of meeting him and appreciated his keenness to exchange views on all issues to expand and advance cooperation between the two friendly countries, and to promote regional peace and security for the benefit of the States of the region and their citizens, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain perpetual progress and prosperity.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet during his current visit to the United States a number of senior officials, Congressmen and members of the Senate.
