Lebanese Forces party leader Samir Geagea has criticized the latest statements by Iranian President Hassan Rohani, saying the remarks go against diplomatic customs and rules.
"We have always respected all peoples, including the people of Iran, but we will never accept dictating our conduct or that others decide on our behalf," Geagea said at a dinner banquet of the Bcharreh League of Melbourne.
"Our people is free and has fought for thousands of years to safeguard this freedom and its free and independent decision," he said.
"Even if we have remained silent over certain acts, such as Hezbollah's fighting in Syria or its attack on the Arab countries, this does not mean we accept to receive orders from Iran, the United States or any other country," Geagea stressed.
