Iraqi parliament speaker Salim al-Jabouri on Thursday met Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui for talks that reviewed the latest Arab and regional developments and means of cooperation in counterterrorism.
The Iraqi speaker said the end of ISIS group in Iraq is near after a series of victories for Iraqi security forces, highlighting the importance of boosting coordination between regional countries in order to end that serious threat.
For his part, the Tunisian minister reiterated his country's solidarity with Iraq, particularly in counterterrorism, expressing appreciation for the Iraqi forces' progress in defeating ISIS.Jhinaoui had met yesterday with Iraqi President Fuad Masum and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi with talks touching on bilateral ties and means of developing them in addition to a set of issues of common concern.
