Visiting US Secretary of State John Kerry met Tuesday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem, amid continuing attempts to restart peace negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians, reported DPA.
Kerry, making his second trip to Israel and the Palestinian territories in as many weeks, said on Monday that peace between the sides was possible, but would not be easy. Israeli-Palestinian peace talks have been effectively frozen since late 2010, with both sides rejecting the other's prerequisites for resuming negotiations. Israel Army Radio quoted Israeli officials as saying no breakthrough could be expected soon.
