His Majesty King Abdullah II received Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite, currently on a visit to the Kingdom to attend the Women in Parliaments Global Forum (WIP), which kicked off in Amman today.
During the meeting, which was held at Al Husseiniya Palace, the King said he was looking forward to further strengthening relations between the two countries, mainly in the economic field.
His Majesty highlighted the importance of exchanging visits among businessmen from both countries as this would boost cooperation and investments between the two countries.
Talks during the meeting also dealt with the current regional and international issues as well as ways of addressing them in order to achieve global peace and security.
The King and the Lithuanian president also highlighted the need to exert further efforts at the regional and international levels to fight terrorism and terror organizations.
President Grybauskaite stressed her country’s keenness to enhance relations with Jordan in various domains.
Separately, His Majesty met with the president of Malta Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, who is also taking part in the forum.
The King stressed Jordan’s desire to further promote relations with Malta within the Euro-Mediterranean partnership as well as coordination in various fields.
Discussions during the meeting also dealt with regional and international issues, the importance of reaching political solutions to crises and achieve peace in the world and the region.
The Maltese president stressed her country’s interest to strengthen relations with Jordan in various domains.
