Libyan President of the House of Representatives Agila Saleh met on Friday with Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) Martin Kobler in Shahat city.
In a tweet, Kobler said he had a long and very fruitful meeting with Saleh.
"I conveyed the message that it is now very important to move ahead with the endorsement of the second list of ministers," he further said.
He added that he totally agreed with Saleh that Libya must have a unity government which must go as soon as possible to Tripoli and operate from there.
Meanwhile, Saleh said the parliament is the entity that discusses and approves the government and said the government can rule from Tripoli if the Libyan army and police protected it.
