H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, received on Monday morning Lt. General Ahmed Gaid Salah, Algeria’s Deputy Defence Minister and Chief of Staff of Algerian People’s National Army.

Lt. General Saleh is currently in the UAE to attend International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2017, which kicked off on Sunday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, ADNEC.

They discussed relations between the UAE and Algeria, and ways to strengthen them. The duo also reviewed co-operation across a number of military and defence-related industries that would serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.

H.H. Sheikh Mansour also received at ADNEC, Berhane Gebre-Christos, Special Adviser to the President of Ethiopia, who is also attending IDEX 2017.

During the meeting, the two parties reviewed bilateral relations, focussing on economic and investment areas. They also discussed ways to strengthen the ties between the UAE and Ethiopia.

Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Rashid Al Ameri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs for Government Coordination Sector, were also present at the meetings.
