Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held a meeting Tuesday with Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby to discuss updates on Israeli violations against the Palestinian people.
The meeting, which was held at Abbas's Cairo residence, took up the building of Israeli settlements on the Palestinian territories, recurrent attacks on Al Aqsa Mosque and the efforts exerted by the Palestinian authority to deter Israeli aggression.
They talked the agenda of the Arab Peace Initiative Committee's meeting slated for Wednesday. The meeting is planned to be attended by Arab foreign ministers at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
El Araby's deputy Ahmed ben Helli attended the meeting along chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat, Abbas' diplomatic advisor Majdi al-Khaldi and Palestinian Ambassador in Cairo Gamal Al-Shobky
