Egypt's Prime Minister Sherif Ismail held on Sunday a meeting with a delegation of the British parliament.
They discussed ways of boosting bilateral relations in all fields, as well as the latest developments in Egypt after the Egyptian parliament held its first session a week ago, Cabinet Spokesman Hossam Qawish said.
The British ambassador to Egypt attended the meeting.
Ismail said the government will submit its plan to revive the Egyptian economy to the parliament in February.
He expounded efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to overcome security and economic issues in Egypt and lure businessmen to pump more investments in the country.
Ismail urged foreign businessmen to participate in the development of the Suez Canal.
He also called on the British government to lift the travel ban to Egypt as soon as possible.
The delegation members, meanwhile, congratulated the Egyptian people after Egypt's roadmap was finalized by electing the Egyptian parliament.
They expressed Britain's keenness to support ties with Egypt in all fields and promised to convey the true image of Egypt to the West.
They said they will spare no effort to resume tourist flights to Egypt.
