Assistant Interior Minister Amr el Assar said electronic terror has become one of the most dangerous crimes committed through the Internet, especially that the world wide web is capable of trespassing all international borders which threatens the national security of all world nations.
Addressing the inauguration of a symposium on e-terror and ways to face it, held at the Police Academy's Police Research Center on Sunday, Assar said electronic terror uses information and other electronic means to spread fear among people and countries and electronic systems and infrastructure have become a target to terrorist elements.
Therefore, the Police Academy is teaching a program on electronic security to its students and provides a diploma in fighting electronic crimes, he said.
