President Abdel Fattah El Sisi left here Thursday for Jordan to participate in the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa themed "Creating a Regional Framework for Prosperity and Peace through Public-Private Cooperation" which takes place on May 21-23 in the Dead Sea city.

The president will deliver a special speech to a forum session titled "Egypt in a Transforming Region", which will be introduced by Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab, presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said.

Sisi and Schwab will discuss at the beginning of the session holding the 2016 round of the MENA forum in Egypt's Sharm El Sheikh city, the spokesman said.

Sisi's speech will take up challenges in the Arab region and the need for cooperation between governments, the private sector and civil society organizations.

He will also shed light on the role of youths and using their energy in positive aspects as well as eradicating poverty through expanding micro, small and medium sized enterprises, the spokesman said.

The president will also review the main features of Egypt's 2030 comprehensive development strategy and the government's legislative and procedural efforts to attract investments, Youssef said.

Sisi will address the national projects being carried out by the government and will stress the state's determination to continue building its institutions through holding the parliamentary polls, the spokesman added.

The Egyptian leader will also invite other countries during the event to the 2016 forum session that will take place in Sharm El Sheikh in May, he added.
