Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

President of Sudan, Omer Al-Bashir, arrived in Abu Dhabi on Saturday on an official visit to the UAE.

He was received at the Presidential Flight in Abu Dhabi by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Al-Bashir was accorded an official reception, where the national anthems of both countries were played, followed by a 21-gun salute to honour the guest.

The President of Sudan then shook hands with the Sheikhs and senior officials, while His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed greeted the Sudanese officials accompanying President Al-Bashir.

Also receiving President Al-Bashir were Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC); H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council;H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser; H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

He was also received by Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation; Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Sultan bin Saeed Al Badi, Minister of Justice; Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs; Khalifa Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs; Ali Mohammed Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council; Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; Major General Lt. General Juma Ahmed Al Bowardi Al Falasi, Adviser to Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Force; Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Crown Prince's Court of Abu Dhabi, and Hamad Mohammed Humaid Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan.

The Sudanese delegation accompanying Al-Bashir includes Minister of the Presidency Fadel Abdullah Fadel; Ibrahim Ghandour Minister of Foreign Affairs; Modathir Abdul-Ghani Abdul-Rahman, Minister of Investment; Mashayer Ahmed Al-Dawalab, Minister of Welfare and Social Security; Taha Osman Ahmed Al-Hussein, Minister of State and Director-General of the Office of the Sudanese President; Mohammad Ameen Abdullah Al Khareb, Ambassador of Sudan to the UAE and a number of officials.
