HE President of the Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani participated in the 30th meeting of the Chairmen of GCC Olympic Committees in Riyadh.
President of Saudi Youth Welfare Prince Abdullah bin Musaed bin Abdulaziz, who is also the president of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, welcomed the participants in the meeting, which was attended by GCC Secretary-General Dr Abdullatif Al-Zayani.
President of Saudi Youth Welfare extended his thanks to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and to HE President of the Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani for Qatar's hosting of previous meeting of GCC Olympic Committees.
He said that the meeting looked into a number of topics on the agenda the most important of which were the establishment of the sport arbitration center to settle disputes that occur during GCC tournaments and competitions, in addition to approving the organization of first GCC Junior Games in the United Arab Emirates in September 2016, and the third GCC Junior Games in Kuwait in 2019.
In his speech, GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani expressed his thanks to HE President of Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, for his and the Committee's distinctive efforts for the success of the previous session, hosted by the State of Qatar, congratulating Sheikh Joaan on the trust placed by HH the Emir of Qatar in him as head of the Qatar Olympic Committee.
