UAE Ambassador meets with UK's Minister for Investment

Sulaiman Hamed Al Mazrouei, UAE Ambassador to the United Kingdom, has met with the UK's Minister for Investment, Mark Garnier, to discuss the strengthening of UAE-UK economic relations.
The reinforcement of bilateral ties within the broader context of the UK’s current investment environment was key on the agenda, particularly in light of the 25 billion GBP 2020 target.
UAE flagship investments for 2017 were highlighted, such as Masdar’s Hywind Scotland - launched last month in partnership with Statoil for GBP50 million - and Masdar’s GBP525 million stake in the upcoming Dudgeon Offshore Windfarm.
Both Al Mazrouei and Garnier reiterated their desire to explore trade and economic opportunities further and emphasised the importance of their long-standing partnership.
