The Giza Criminal Court on Saturday postponed to December 6 the re-trial of terrorist Muslim Brotherhood guide Mohamed Badie and other 36 leaders and members of the banned group over their involvement in preparing terror plot that aims at vandalizing vital government facilities and worship houses.
The court decision was taken to continue hearing the pleadings in the case.
The defendants were accused of forming an operation room to direct the terrorist MB members to defy the government during the Rabaa sit-in dispersal and to spread chaos in the country
They were also convicted of circulating fake news with the aim of undermining public security.
Earlier, The Court of Cassation ordered the retrial of 37 defendants after a lawyer court had ordered the death sentence on Badie and 13 others along with jailing 37 others for life in the same case.
The prosecution accused Badie, aided by other Brotherhood members, including former spokesman and Guidance Bureau member Mahmoud Ghozlan, of plotting to spread chaos in the country, break into police stations, government institutions, private properties, and churches.
Defendants are also accused of fabricating pictures and scenes that imply fatalities and injuries among demonstrators during the dispersal of the pro-Mohamed Morsi sit-in at Rabaa Al-Adaweya on 14 August, 2013.
The prosecution also said that the Brotherhood leaders prepared false statements to mislead the public.
