Cairo Criminal Court decided on Tuesday to defer till December 13 the trial of Mubarak-era interior minister Habib el Adly and 12 other defendants over charges of corruption and squandering public funds during their time in office.
The defendants are accused of misappropriating more than two billion pounds in state funds that were allocated to the Interior Ministry during a period spanning from 2000 to 2011.
Adly served as former president Hosni Mubarak's minister of interior from 1997 until 2011.
