Malaysia will host the 16th International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) in September entitled ‘Ending Ill Effects: People, Integrity and Action’.
The conference will discuss the progress and challenges of fighting corruption, Malaysia’s (Bernama) News Agency reported.
According to a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) statement, the three-day biennial conference will be held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, beginning September 2.
Held jointly with the IACC Advisory Council, Transparency International (TI) and Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M), it said the event was expected to be attended by over 30 global leaders and 1,000 participants from over 135 countries.
MACC Chief Commissioner Dr. Abu Kassim Mohamed, who is also vice-president of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities, said the conference would serve as a platform for participants to share their views and experiences in fighting corruption.
