The Italian Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday that an international conference on Libya will be held in Rome on January 19.
Representatives from countries that participated in Rome conference that was held on December 13 will participate in the upcoming conference, the ministry said in a press release.
Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni made phone calls with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry and his Algerian counterpart Abdelkader Messahel.
During the calls, the ministers condemned the terrorist attacks that recently targeted Libya.
They also reiterated their commitment to support the national unity government.
The ministers also said that regaining stability in Libya will help confront the Daesh terrorist threat.
