Director Jason Reitman is almost finished setting up his cast of Hollywood stars for his live stage reading of The Princess Bride.
All he needs now are two actors for the roles of Fezzik and Inigo Montoya's father, according to Hollywood Reporter.
The reading will take place at this year's Toronto Film Festival on Sept. 12. The Up In The Air director will reportedly reveal the cast leading up to the event.
"In 1987, Princess Bride won Toronto Film Festival. On Sep 12, we're going to pay tribute to that perfect script," Retiman tweeted Wednesday.
The Canadian filmmaker recently led a similar reading in Montreal featuring Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender reading The Big Lebowski.
Jason Reitman majored in Creative Writing / English at the University of Southern California and directed numerous commercials and short films, making his feature film-directing debut with the 2006 hit, “Thank You for Smoking.” Based on the novel by Christopher Buckley and adapted by Reitman for the screen, the film was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Picture. Director Jason Reitman has also received outstanding acclaim for “Juno,” and “Up in the Air.” Entertaining aspiring future filmmakers and film fans, Reitman voiced his inspirations in film-making from the days of his youth to the experiences and craft behind his emerging career as an established filmmaker.
