The screening will include Only One Truth by Aya El-Adl, Baheya by Mavie Maher and Virtual by Nada Riadh.
Following the screenings, a discussion with the directors is set to take place.
Only One Truth, based on a short story by Italian author Alberto Moravia, follows a young, independent woman who struggles to leave a married man with whom she is having an affair. It was screened as part of the Masry Asly Film Festival which focuses on independent films from Egypt and was also screened at the Luxor Egyptian and European Film Festival ealier this year.
Both Baheya and Virtual premiered during the 6th edition of the Panorama of European Cinema in December 2013 as part of a mentorship and production programme entitled "Women of New Egypt." The Panorama is organised by Misr International Films (MIF), the company set up by late veteran director Youssef Chahine. MIF also runs art house cinema Zawya.
Bahiya is an introspective look at the turmoil a teacher goes through after one of her students dies in a violent terrorist attack.
Virtual follows a day in the life of an activist lawyer specialising in a number of labour cases, focusing on the lawyer's Facebook posts.
