A funeral was held Friday for of renowned Egyptian actor Hamdy Ahmed at Hosary Mosque in the 6th of October city.
The funeral witnessed a huge public presence and a noticeable absence of celebrities.
Head of the Actors' Syndicate Ashraf Zaki, Actors Syndicate board member Sameh el Sereity, and other actors, such as Ahmed Rateb, Rashwan Tawfiq and Khaled Zaki, and director Ahmed Saqr were among the attendees.
The late actor passed away on Friday morning at the age of 82 after a sudden health problem.
The late actor was best known for his appearances in numerous television soap operas and cinema movies.
