New novel explores the disappointments and risks of a marriage gone wrong. A recent study in the Journal of Men’s Health showed that divorce can take extreme mental and physical tolls on men. Based on actual events, “Desperate Situation” follows the story of a man’s realization of his wife’s infidelity and the issues that arose surrounding the following divorce. With cases of spying and plots of murder, the story is filled with danger and drama. Ripton explores the relationships between men and women through the perspective of his main character. The devastating consequences of the divorce, along with the impact and the involvement of the extended family, bring a high level of interest and intrigue to the book. “I wrote the book to not only explore a complicated and emotional situation, but also to create a commentary on the social system regarding gender,” said Ripton. “I wanted to bring awareness to the fact that men also experience the pain and destructive nature associated with divorce.” Source: PRWEB
