F.M. Bonevento first entered the literary world with his poetry collection, “Musings.” He continued contributing to the world of poetry with another collection, “Signs and Seasons of Love.” Following a six year hiatus, Bonevento now unveils his new poetry collection, “Second Thoughts with Songs on the Wind” (published by Archway Publishing), in which he discusses humankind’s connection with time and the understanding that comes with it.
“Man is a creature of ideals, visions, hopes, and memories,” Bonevento says of his book. “In this sense, its relevance is to the illumination of human experience.”
In his new collection, Bonevento uses poetry to explore the concept of time and the connection between humans and the universe. He hopes his poetry will enlighten readers on the beauty that is all around them and cause introspection.
An excerpt from “The Ashen Song,” featured in “Second Thoughts with Songs on the Wind”:
“How does it sound?
Not with notes, rather with the rustling hum of dusty silence.
A stream of flowing memories, ebbing away, drifting off onto the winds
of hazy forgetfulness never revisited again”
