Author Mary Beasley tells a story about family, friendships, true love, overcoming prejudice and trusting God in her new Christian romance novel, “Return to Resting Place: The T.C. Help Desk Crew” (published by WestBow Press). Set in the fictional town of Resting Place, Md., “Return to Resting Place” follows the relationship between Sidney Weston and J.P. Carter, best friends from different backgrounds who fall in love. J.P.’s father doesn’t approve of the relationship and secretly forces Sidney to leave town without telling J.P., telling her that she’s not good enough for his son. Devastated, Sidney moves to New York, where she begins a successful career at a major IT company. but when she expresses interest in a senior executive position, Sidney is once again told that she’s just not good enough. She returns home to Resting Place, only to discover that her feelings for J.P. have not diminished, even though he has moved on with his life. She must trust God to grant her the peace to find closure and move on with her life. “I believe that there are a lot of people who have been stereotyped or labeled as ‘not good enough’ at one time or another,” Beasley writes. “‘Return to Resting Place’ reminds us that even though we have come a long way, we still face being stereotyped and labeled, but with God, we overcome the labels and stereotypes and live out His plans for us.” Source: PRWEB
