Nearly 35 tons of fishing nets were collected from Masirah beaches last week.
The Environmental Society of Oman (ESO) released a statement online, about a clean up campaign that occurred last week.
Volunteers from Be'ah and the general public joined the ESO in removing 35 tons of fishing nets that had been discarded over a 36-kilometre streatch on the beaches of the Masirah.
